With the current oil spill in the Gulf, the victims suffering the most are birds and fish. All of these gorgeous animals that have been living in this area forever are suddenly covered in BP oil and fighting for their lives.

If a bird is covered in oil, they will most likely die of suffocation. In this three part tutorial, hosted by Rebecca Dunne of the Tri-State Bird Rescue, you will learn exactly how to clean one of our feathered friends. These animals need all the help they can get, so get involved!

Did you know that Dawn dish soap works best for cleaning these animals? It is important to remember that a bird is most likely completely confused by this entire episode, so you must wash them very quickly. One single bird can take up to 45 minutes and 300 gallons of hot water to clean - so grab your friends for help!

Thank you for doing your part to save the animals!
